There it is folks. My almost 32 week picture.
I know that some of you may be thinking,
"Good grief! She's TINY for being 8 months pregnant!"
"Good grief! She's TINY for being 8 months pregnant!"
Just know that I have gained a good amount of weight, and my baby (and belly) really do grow each and every week.
Here's a bit of proof:
15 Weeks
19 Weeks
23 Weeks
30 Weeks
32 Weeks
Yup.
That's how it happened. And she continues to grow.
She wiggles every single day--a lot!
She's got 2 more months of baking before she's done.
I hear that the summers in San Jose aren't terrible until about August--so that's a plus!
We've pretty much acquired all of the biggest ticket items (i.e. crib, mattress, stroller, glider, swing, and high chair--Thanks parents!)
And now all that's left is absolutely everything else that a baby needs!
This past weekend Peter and I attended a baby birth class. I'd say it's a good thing we went. All along I've been telling/complaining to Peter that at the end of all this I have to actually give birth to a baby, and until this weekend his response was, "meh, you'll be fine."
Now he's in a bit of a shock, but dealing quite well! Apparently he hadn't realized why it's called "labor."
At my next OB appointment we're doing another ultra sound. I didn't ask why--go me!--but the note written by the doctor said something that looked like "check the" ...scribble. : )
He'll probably check for size and positioning. After the birthing class I'm kinda nervous about the position thing. I already know that she's sitting on my right side, and the doctor claims she's head down.
I read that right-side babies are more likely to turn posterior for birth--yikes! Opinions anyone?
And just because that 85% accuracy quote from the first sonographer makes me nervous, we're going to try and have the gender checked again just to be safe!
So that's how goes the pregnancy.
I feel fine.
I'm getting heart burn for the first time in my life, and my little girl likes to get her foot up in my ribs. I cry for almost no reason and have to pee all the time.
So overall, it's good.

Oh that's so sweet the way you talk about your baby
ReplyDeleteYou look really great and you are lucky
that you don't put on too much weight
When i had been pregnant i gained 35 kg
Half of my weight before pregnancy and
i even hadn't eaten too much
You look great! Joe nearly passed out when we watched the live birth video - it definitely made it more real for him! I had never heard the association between right side and posterior birth. Abigail was switching sides up until I went into the hospital. She did come out posterior, which was a little scary. I wasn't able to push her out on my own, and they had to attach a vacuum to her head to get her out. good luck with everything!
