6 Months

Alright.
I realize that I'm more than a month late in posting this now, but I have to start with the 6 month post before I actually do the 7 month post (on time) because Claire has changed SO much!

I made notes about her, just didn't quite get around to blogging about them.

So taking a step back, Claire's developments between 5 and 6 months:

Probably one of the most fun things is that she started giggling back when you giggle at her. We  have little bouts of laughter almost daily. It's most certainly absolutely the best sound in the world.

Claire also talks a lot! Over the course of a week and a half she said 4 different words. Each day she babbled a new consonant, but always an "ahh" vowel. "Ba," "Ma," "Da," and "Pa" all day long.

At six months Claire is starting to trade her rolling for scooting. Each day she gets better at her army crawl scooting and gives up her rolling a bit more. She had been rolling all the way across the rooms, but she's started to realize that she has more control over her direction if she scoots.

When she's happy, excited, and possibly angry she flaps her arms and legs wildly. It's so funny.

She eats solid food 3 times a day and we're starting bottles more frequently.

She sucks on fingers and her binky and absolutely everything else.

She resists naps on most days but sleeps well at night. During this month, we trained her to sleep through the 2 night wakings she had decided she needed. I started by feeding her before I went to bed to eliminate the 1 am feeding. Then I just let her cry at the 3 or 4 am waking. After a couple days, she stopped.

We moved up to size 3 diapers and wear 6 & 9 month clothes equally.
At her 6 month pediatrician visit she was
26.5 inches tall (75%)
and
17 lbs 14 oz. (90 %)

And that's our adorable little babe at 6 months.

Don't be confused with what's about to come--7 Months!

Y'all are so lucky! Two sets of adorable pictures in one day! :D

Love you!
