7 Months!

Can you believe my little baby girl is on the older side of infant?!
She's SEVEN months old now!

She's so much fun to be around.
She's having a few more problems lately, but she's also learning a lot and is so cute and happy!

We're still phasing out the 6 month clothes. A lot of them don't fit any more, but the 9 month clothes still look a little baggy.

We're almost full-time bottle feeding now. I was tired of Claire turning her head and trying to sit up while eating, so we only nurse while she's still drowsy--too tired to want to look around at anything.

She probably weighs 19 lbs.

She's a full time army crawling kid. She's so funny about crawling. She gets up on her hands and knees, reaches for something, and then goes back to her tummy to move.
She discovered the kitchen and bathrooms this month where there is "Pergo" wood style laminate flooring. She gets better traction there and scoots much better.

She also is now able to pull herself up when she's holding onto your fingers. And as of today, she gets up on her knees and holds onto the railing in her crib when she's crying for us. It is so sad looking. I really need to try to get a picture.

She loves to knock over her staking cups. She loves pulling out the bottom shelf of DVDs. She'll often entertain herself for 20 minutes at a time, often times ending in me sweeping her out of the bathroom. I'm not sure what she likes about the bathroom floor. She also has been showing more interest in looking at books. Before it was a little tortuous, but now it's kind of fun. She flaps her arms a good deal while reading. She likes colors.

She is a stinker about taking naps.
She gets tired (yawns/ rubs her eyes) and we go into her room, pull the blinds, sing one verse of a song, and I put her in bed. She often laughs at me when I lay her down. Then she'll either cry right away or talk to herself for a while and then cry until she falls asleep about 5 minutes later. Once she falls asleep, she only stays asleep for 40-45 minutes (about one sleep cycle). During her afternoon nap, I can usually ignore the crying to let her got back to sleep for another hour. So total, she only sleeps about 2.5 hours each day in three naps and 11 hours at night. I really don't understand why she won't go to sleep without crying. She's capable of going to sleep on her own, she just won't. She also won't go to sleep in my arms any more either. She likes to wiggle and move too much--even when she's tired. She also cries every time she wakes up. It's just sad.

Claire loves her daddy SO much!
She can't help but smile, flail, and giggle at Peter when he walks in the door at night. She will sometimes even cry when he leaves in the morning--sometimes it makes him a few minutes late.

Claire definitely looks just like her dad. One lady in our ward says we should have named her "Petra" because she's a little Peter! Haha. It's true though!

Claire and I play all day long. She generally laughs so hard that she  makes no sound, only "kagck...kagck... kagck" when you tickle her ribs and thighs and squirms when you get her toes.

And of course, I can't get her to smile like this when we go to the studio. She's in too much shock and awe to actually be playful. It's weird to me that the one girl that makes her smile doesn't take her pictures; she just mans the front desk (although she's taken the pictures before). Whatever!

So there it is.
OH yeah! And Claire has two bottom teeth! She hasn't bitten me yet, but the way that she plays with her binky has made her cry a couple times.

But she's so happy, especially when she sleeps.
